Health and Hygiene in Intravenous Protocol

Our method is based on strict protocols while maintaining adaptability to meet each patient’s needs. We adhere to all health and hygiene standards, including the use of masks, pre-cleaning with disinfectants, and the replacement of all disposable materials such as needles, gloves, catheters, tapes, and any items used in therapy. These materials are used individually and personally and are discarded immediately after the session.

How long does intravenous therapy last?

Duration of Our Therapies

The duration of intravenous therapy varies depending on the elements used and the specific characteristics of the patient, such as their health status, weight, and the absorption rate of their venous system. For standard therapies, we could estimate an average time of between 45 minutes and 1 hour and 15 minutes for treatments such as hydration, hangover therapy, or stomach flu therapy, among many others. About 70% to 80% of the therapies requested tend to fall into this category, but there are also many other treatments, such as NAD therapy.

This treatment can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours or more, depending on the amount requested by the patient, as well as their weight and specific conditions. In this section, we want to provide an estimated time for standard therapies, but we always recommend speaking with healthcare personnel before scheduling the appointment, depending on the requested formula, to avoid surprises and ensure we can properly plan the time while adjusting to the patient’s schedule.

Prevention against contraindications

Clinical Data Review for the Proper Development of Therapy

Intravenous therapy is a safe and reliable treatment, provided it is performed under all necessary hygiene and sanitation standards, as well as strict adherence to technical protocols during the cannulation process by healthcare professionals. However, beyond these essential measures, it is crucial, as in any medical protocol, to have the patient’s clinical history to ensure there are no incompatibilities or allergies that could trigger an adverse reaction.

While such reactions are rare if the patient’s clinical data has been properly reviewed, they can occasionally occur due to unawareness of an allergy or the patient being in an acute pathological state that might provoke such a response. For this reason, the healthcare personnel closely monitor the entire process throughout the therapy, assessing various indicators that help track the patient’s progress and ensuring that the procedure is carried out under the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.
